application methods

The National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance provides the following three methods for people’s tax affair application, and the application procedures vary with the application method. The instructions are as follows:

1. Counter Services:

The National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance has set up a "General Service Counter" at the Bureau, and its branches and offices, offering more than 20 services such as inquiries, applications, issue of certificates, etc. The applicant only needs to prepare the identity certificate and relevant supporting documents that should be submitted, and he/she can complete the application over the counter without filling  out an application form.

2. Online application:

"Online application" is provided on the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance ’s website "Services>Online Service." The applicant can apply for the desired item through the webpage instructions. After filling out each field of the application form clearly, the applicant can complete the application procedures via the internet transmission. However, it should be noted that some application items can only be accepted after the relevant supporting documents being submitted within the specified time limit.

3. Applying on paper:

The applicant needs to fill out the relevant application form, or self-prepare the application by applicant himself/herself, attached with all relevant supporting documents that should be submitted, and send it by mail or deliver it to the mail room of the Head Office, branches or offices; Those who send the application in person will get a reply slip stamped with the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance ’s receipt number. The application form can be obtained via the following three methods:

(1) Go to the "Services>Downloads" on the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance’s website and click on "Application Form."   

(2) Request it at the service counter of the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance and its branches and offices.

(3) Write to the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance to request it (the name of the form, the number of copies required and the basic personal information must be indicated).

The aforementioned online applications and written applications will be handled by the processing procedures of general official documents (including sorting, undertaking, submitting for approval and issuance) through the processing flow of the relevant management system, after the application is accepted by the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance .The processing of the application will be completed in accordance with the "Application Categories and Processing Times."
